Tom Sangster is an experienced professional civil engineer and project manager. He has over 30 years’ experience in:

  • Civil and geotechnical engineering worldwide and is an acknowledged industry leader and expert in geosynthetics – market information and analysis, design in all applications and product specification.
  • Underground pipe networks – market information, inspection, condition assessment, rehabilitation and asset management of existing water, wastewater, gas and industrial pipe networks, pipe materials and risk management.

Tom has presented papers at many international conferences in his fields of expertise and also provides a range of technical training courses, especially in the pipe network assessment and rehabilitation sectors.

Tom takes the role of Project Director for all of Downley Consultants’ projects with responsibility for ensuring that projects fully meet the clients’ needs.
